Greetings from sunny Sin Dingo! I'm finally recovering from a very stressfull move cross country from Portland ME to San Diego CA...even my art has arrived safe&sound after being shipped via Grayhound. One of my major motivations for this move was to hopefully find a more responsive&inclusive art community because that was NOT the case in Maine(so very conservitiveZzZzZ.)I feel the color&culture of this place will only further my artistic growth&I hope to find people who inspire me to reach new creative levels. At least I won't have to deal with another East Coast winter&the seasonal depression that has gripped me in it's icy claws for the last 5years!
I've started to learn how to make mosaics from an old friend Kirstin*&am helping her with beautiful seaweed&mirror fish shower piece.She works out of a "dungeon" in our old High School- it's trippy! I've also been enjoying the sky(my new house has a great view,)playing with babies,watching too much TV&drinkng alot of tea. On a bad note my beloved pigdog Tipsy has been very ill with an enlarged heart,fluid in her lungs,anemia&a skin infection. She's on a perscription diet&9 pills daily&her vet bills are adding the fuck up yo! At least my vet is silver fox handsome&has a soothing manner.

Service the Industry

I've been working at my present employer for almost five years-during that time I've watched it morph from a happy "family" into a corporate soap opera. Gone are the days of good times,sharing&caring-also gone are most of my beloved coworkers&the sense of teamwork really making the dream work. Fear of corprate overlords is the new banner hanging from the rafters,gossip the muzak constantly droning mindlessly in the background. Between "Secret Shoppers"&just the usual "I had a stressful day/life so I'm going to take it out on this Server/Peon"waiting on tables there has become hellish&for the most part unprofitable(10-15% not including drinks is the new 20%,thanks Oprah.) Worst of all is the trickle down of being shit on: The Big Dicks shit on the little dicks who shit on the rest of us to feel better about being shit on in the 1st place. I learned long ago to adhere the old adage "Don't shit where you eat"&in this situation that applies to a number of things:Don't fuck your coworkers&don't fuck your coworkers over for starters. I can only hope to move on from serving the industry to bettering myself,because 20 years is a long time waiting on others.

Halloween is my most favoritest Helladay! You would think after all the years of working at vintage&costume stores that would not be the case but nothing can sway my love of these days. While most of the world uses the holiday to dress in drag or slutty I love to um,dress in slutty drag!Sunday(the day before)this year I went for a traditional Sugar Skull&painted my new housemate Amy up as a zombie Audry Hepburn for a little Cocktails&Entrails at our Casa de los Muertos. We drank Hot Toddies&Carrot Cake shots&ate eyeball cupcakes(made by CupKate)&other festive fare! For the night of I attended a Zombie Dance party all by my lonesome dressed as the fabulous JEFFREE STAR in Zombie form&danced in the corner like the creep I am.

This sweet pony girl went out today bound for Buffalo NY to go live with a boy I used to know many moons ago who's never bought a piece of art in his life! That's what I like,art for my people not as a product.

100 flights of fancy

When I came across Bamboo Cutting Boards for a $1@Ye Olde Christmas Tree Shop I thought to myself "These would be so great to paint on,I should by 100!"(So I did.) Seemingly endless Milk Maids,Mustache Rides,Glitter Beards,Unicorns,Rainbows,Lightning Bolts,Googlie Eyes,Rinestones&Porn Collages later...Now I'm thinking "Woah,I'm almost out of boards~what am I going to do next?!"

New directions

I've been tweaking my art work in a bit of a new direction...leaving out so much text&a bit more to the imagination. Panties,hot pants&Ice Cream cones have been helpful in this venture...not that I'm changing the subject matter,just adding layers.

I painted these recently as a donation to help the children of Old Orchard Beach get a skate park built so they will shred instead of shooting up crack in to they eyeballs or having babies when they is babies. Grind your ollies out gnarly little dudes&dudettes!

On the Verge...

FINALLY finished&sent in the Sketchbook Project 3,now off to Merchwhore (again) for Universal Order of Armageddon for what will hopefully be total awesomeness. How could it not be?* I'm Stoaked!

 HARPY EWE EARS! Living in the Land of Bad Babies&Long"DRY"Spells gives me plenty of time to work on various arts&crafts,the latest being the most recent round of the Sketchbook Project through the Brooklyn Art Library. I had contributed the Canvas Project 3 with a Triptic for the given words EXHALE,ANTIPODES&FREEWAY a few months back but this latest body of work is much more involved. I'm trying to recreate the look&feel of one of my many "Black Books" from years past...sketchbooks that traveled&lived with me. My subject title is "Happy Thoughts"&as usual that can mean many things...
