Sometimes I have a figurine for years before I end up Remixing it…the magic inside just isn't ready to emerge!When it does unfold,it's like the new wings of a butterfly ready to take flight for the first time.Because the original paint job was so very iridescent&lovely on this beauty,I tried to keep as much of it around as possible. Nothing can stop Luminous Opera&Rainbows from getting in on the party however!

Not My Monkeys,Not my Circus!

My(F)Unemployment so far has gone thusly:Wake up naturally,French Press,a Smoothie&a Green Bowl followed by art/mosaic,gardening/landscaping or hanging out with friends. I've watched good movies,Bad TV,cleaned&rearranged my room,bought a ticket to Florida to(FINALLY)visit my brother Banyan&his Blond Horde of a Fabulous McFamily. No solid plans after that,I dream of more traveling but,alas,the funds shall surely fail me sooner than later. Till then,NOT MY MONKEYS/NOT MY CIRCUS!

Hell-O Weenie! The Adventures of Lady Guy.

Oh Halloween,you know you my Bestie! This years inspiration came like a lightning bolt exploding the lightbulb above my head...I caught a glimpse of myself wearing a side pony in my fucked up, growing out,side shave hair&I thought: "I look like one of those 1/2Man1/2Woman Side Show Freaks."

The Half/Stache is made from a the adhesive side of a cloth like bandaid,cut to shape,Matte ModPodge&a snip of my hair. It came out perfect&stayed on all night with just a couple drops of eyelash glue(even through tacos!)

The Make-Up was moisturizer&some pencil in my man brow for Guy. Full Face,including False Eyelash&Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in 'Cha Cha',for Lady.(I painted my nails just on that side too!)

The Costume starts with a button down shirt cut in half behind the buttoned buttons.You can attach half a shirt dress by simply buttoning the dresses holes in-between the shirt! All you have to sew is the backs together,I hand stitched it,but I'm sure you could bust it out on a sewing machine lickity split.(Don't forget to allot yourself extra fabric for sewing!)I also put on a tight sports bra,a flesh colored Flexies Shaper Full Tank top over that then popped my Right Boob out of the bra(but still under&supported by the tank.)I then cut one leg off a pair of pants(to go under the half skirt)put on one boot,one flat&just tried to remember to carry my purse in the right hand.

P.S. Don't forget to stuff a sock in your dude pant side! 

P.P.S. An unhooked necklace can be attached to a button hole&pinned to the Lady neckline,for a nice finishing touch.

Stoner Rocks into the Mix.

Worked on my backyard mosaic today,adding some of my painted rocks. It's a very therapeutic activity,like putting together a puzzle your inventing as you go...

What,what!

For some reason I put my notice in at work today. I don't have another job yet,but think I should use this as an opportunity to travel a bit,visit my People. That place is just killing my Vibe Yo...I can't have that.Heres an old photo of my little sister Mercy&I on a boat smiling. She's going to have a baby in April&is just one of the awesome people I'll be hanging out with instead of foaming perfect cappuccino milk for unworthy twats. Fuck yeah!

Rock On

Ever so slowly,my back porch mosaic is creeping along. Piecing together hand gathered stones&scraps from my teacher/friend,it is turing out organic(to say the least.) I do so love to work with whatever I happen upon! I imagine it shall resemble a quilt of sorts,if&when it is ever finished.

Sometimes it feels like your Man with the Golden Horn is just never going to show! You been waiting so freaking long it's redawnkulous. The Sun has Gone to Rest Beyond the Horizons Infinite Edge,Leaving a Receding Aura of Saturated Colors in it's Wake ...Silver Glitter Stars Twinkle in the Twilight...a Tiny Sliver of Moon Shines Brightly Overhead...*yawn* See you in my Dreams.

It's official: I love google eyes! These Anime style ones complete me like nothing on Earth ever has...when I came across them(pun intended,)I should have bought the lot. Here you see them transform a mere pair of money shots to the face into the Gorgon Medusa! That's some powerful stuff.

Many Moons ago there was a group of kids that often ran amuck. Late night propaganda distribution littered the town of P-Funk Maine with brightly colored declarations of discontent. The Dishwashers Local 23&Pink Trash RevolutionEvolution were all about blowing minds wide open! These recently rediscovered images are some of the only documentation of these underground activities circa 1995. Viva la Revolucion!
